A operatic song cycle performed by a guy in a wolf mask. Using the ubiquitous voice and pitch altering technology, Auto Tune stages a story of intra-band rivalry, mid-2000s house parties and strange superpowers. A work-in-progress in which Drake meets David Williamson, re:group style.

MARK ROGERS is a multi-award winning playwright and theatre-maker living on Dharawal Land. In 2019 he won both the Griffin Award and Sydney Theatre Company’s Patrick White Award. The winning play, Superheroes, was also shortlisted for Stückemarkt at Theatertreffen as a part of the Berlin Festspiele, before premiering at Griffin Theatre Company in Sydney in 2020. His play Naked and Screaming won Best Production at the 2021 Matilda Awards. He is a core member of both Applespiel and re:group performance collective. His work has been staged at Griffin Theatre, Malthouse Theatre, MONA:FOMA, Next Wave, La Boite Theatre, Performance Space, Shopfront Arts Co-Op, PACT, Merrigong Theatre Company, Metro Arts, Brisbane Festival and the Sydney Opera House. He holds a PHD from the University of Wollongong where he works as a lecturer in theatre and performance.

SOLOMON THOMAS is a theatre-maker, video designer and performer currently based in Sydney. He graduated with BCA Honours in Performance from the University of Wollongong in 2013. For the past nine years Solomon has been actively engaged in creating and performing work for both independent and main stage theatre. He is a core member of re:group performance collective, Monday Night Cards and Woodcourt Art Theatre.
His collaborations include Jackson! Le Diner Est Pret! (Woodcourt Art Theatre, 2013), The Encounter (Adelaide Fringe, 2014; La Mama, 2016), The Face Show (Shopfront Art Co-Op, 2014), LOVELY (PACT, 2015), Fire Island (University of Wollongong, 2015), Tom William Mitchell (Woodcourt Art Theatre, 2017), Kraken Play (Crack Theatre Festival, 2017), Spacejunk (Sydney Observatory, 2018), Lifestyles of the Richard and Family (Next Wave, 2018), UFO (Brand X, 2020; Merrigong Theatre Company, 2021), The Sucker (Brand X, 2021); Coil (Mona Foma, 2022; PACT, 2022; Next Wave, 2022; Sydney Opera House, 2022); What the Ocean Said (Sydney Opera House, 2022). Solomon has worked as a performer on Nick Cave’s Heard (Carriageworks, 2016), My Darling Patricia's The Piper (Sydney Festival, 2014; Edinburgh Fringe, 2015) and in development with Branch Nebula, Studio A and Erth.
Solomon is currently a puppeteer with Erth Visual & Physical Inc (2014-22) and has toured with them throughout the UAE, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Japan.

LIAM HALLIWELL is a sound designer and musician living in Naarm/Melbourne. He writes and plays music with Snowy Band – name-checked by The Guardian as some of 2020’s ‘best new music’. He also played/plays in countless other jangle bands and indie pop outfits over the past decade, including The Ocean Party, Cool Sounds, Ciggie Witch, No Local, Jade Imagine and R.A.W Lyric. As a designer, he has worked with Bodysnatchers Theatre on Plastic, Soothsayers and Gobbledygook. Other work includes re:group’s Tom William Mitchell and Coil.

MALCOLM WHITTAKER works as an artist, writer, researcher, performer, producer and teacher. He does this in solo pursuits and in collaborations with other artists and non-artists. His work as an artist is mostly made and executed through the engagement of participants and collaborators in the framing of play spaces that adopt social forms and rituals from popular culture and the everyday.
His projects have taken the form of theatre and gallery situations, site-specific and public interventions, performance lectures, film shoots, phone calls, support groups, radio programs, elevator rides, teeth-brushing services, walks in the park, games of chess, gift shops, handshakes, newspapers, fashion labels, letters in the mail, digging holes in the dirt and the borrowing of books from the library. He has made and presented work extensively across Australia, as well as in the UK, Finland and Europe.
He has done so through a range of initiatives and organisations, including Performance Space (Sydney), Arts House (Melbourne), Museum of Contemporary Art (Sydney), State Library of NSW, Art Gallery of NSW, The Wheeler Centre (Melbourne), Vitalstatistix (Adelaide), Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Campbelltown Arts Centre, Sydney Opera House, Mona Foma (Hobart), ANTI Festival (Kuopio), Next Wave Festival (Melbourne), Proximity Festival (Perth), World Theatre Festival (Brisbane), Junction Arts Festival (Launceston), Field Theory (Melbourne), Griffin Theatre Company, Merrigong Theatre Company (Wollongong), Shopfront Arts Co-op (Sydney), Urban Theatre Projects (Western Sydney), University of Technology Sydney, Berlin Performing Arts Festival, Prague Quadrennial, Punctum (Castlemaine), Country Arts SA, Salamanca Arts Centre (Hobart), Mona Foma (Hobart), Bleach Festival (Gold Coast), Big Anxiety Festival (Sydney), Brand X (Sydney) and Cementa (Kandos). Malcolm holds a PhD from The University of Wollongong, where he also works as a Theatre Fellow and sessional teacher of art theory and practice. He is currently part of the Artistic Directorate of PACT Centre for Emerging Artists and a proud member of Shammgods.

Your tickets can be transferred to another night in the same show's season (Friday or Saturday). If you feel unwell and have to stay home due to COVID we will refund your tickets minus transaction fees of 1.75% + 30c. Email us to arrange a refund prior to show commencement.


The Saturday night 7pm performance will be recorded and will include AUSLAN interpretation.
