Engaging the classic Japanese cinema performance style of Benshi where a narrator voices various characters and narrates the film with an accompanying musician, this unique performance takes the concept to a time when fame, brand and persona have filtered from our cinema screens to our phones and everyday existences.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Oliver Walton is an Australian creative with professional experience in film and theater. Working as a writer and director with The 1121 Collective in the UK, his latest play 'you/me/tomorrow' was performed at the prestigious HOME Manchester, with reviews describing him as 'a talent to watch.'
