White Rhino Artspace,  a multifunctional art space in St Leonards’ TWT Creative Precinct, has launched its program for March with 2 different exhibitions and a workshop open to all those who want to experiment with their creative side.

SOLAR JUNK Chandelier Project 

A solo exhibition/Installation work by Kathie Najar

Opening event: Thursday, 19 March from 4-7pm. 

Exhibition: 18 March 2020 to 4 April 2020

Location: White Rhino Artspace, Room 2. 62 Atchison Street, ST Leonards.

This installation is a monument to pause and reflect on our environmental and emotional imprint.

Solar Junk Chandelier’s use of repurposed mass-produced everyday items saved from landfill or the recycling process, emotionalize this plastic waste in creating beauty from the beast.

SALLY and FEYONA - Dynamic Organic

Sally Aplin and Feyona van Stom's exhibition Dynamic Organic focus on organic material and form, loosely interpreted through colour, shape and surface texture.

'Dynamic Organic - It's All About The Form' includes ceramic figures, enamel panels and constructions, paintings and drawings.

PAPER PAJAKI (Chandelier) Workshop

Date: Saturday 28 March 1PM

Duration: 2 hours

Ages: Adults and Teenagers 13 years and above

Price: $65 (booking fees may apply)

Location: White Rhino Artspace, Lvl 1, 62 Atchison Street, ST Leonards.

Led by arts programmer and artist Kathie Najar you will make your own Polish paper chandelier, know as pajaki, hear a bit about the history and even how to pronounce the word Pajaki!

Be inspired by personalizing your own pajaki using unusual papers from the artist's personal collection, and learn some paper folding techniques.
