The East Sydney Community and Arts Centre (ESCAC) Performance Space is part of a modern 2-storey building centrally located in Darlinghurst’s creative hub made possible through the generous support of City of Sydney. The space is available to hire for performances as well as being a venue suitable for events, classes and workshops.

Please note: First-time hirers must allow 24hrs notice for initial booking as a staff member will need to be available to meet you at the studio to induct you into the space. Largest of two rehearsal spaces at the City of Sydney Creative Studios, the space accommodates performance based companies and collectives preparing for production. With a minimum 10 hour booking per day, this space provides exclusive access to allow for rehearsal mark-up and the use of sets/props for the duration of the weekly hire period.

Smaller of two rehearsal spaces at the City of Sydney Creative Studios, the space is designed for performing artists training or building their creative practice as well as being a venue suitable for auditions, classes and workshops.
L2: Wardrobe at CoSCS

In close proximity to the two rehearsal spaces on Level 2 at the City of Sydney Creative Studios, the Wardrobe space is designed for costume fittings and alterations, laundry, hair and make-up. The space is also available for costume based workshops and classes.
L6.9: Screening Room at CoSCS

This versatile space is ideal for: script reads, staff/board meetings, strategic planning, video conferencing, screening purposes, small group rehearsals and small scale video production.
