An immersive micro-festival where every room tells a story.

The outcome of a 16-hour site-responsive performance residency where 7 artists create 7 shows of 7-minutes in length within 7 hotel rooms above the East Sydney Hotel in Woolloomooloo. Audiences are invited to witness these intimate spectacles created by some of Sydney’s most exciting site-specific contemporary performers in an intimate, promenade-style event.

PLEASE NOTE: It is a condition of entry that patrons are double vaccinated. Face-masks are mandatory in all indoor venues across Sydney. Free disposable masks will be available at box office, but to lessen our impact on the environment, please bring one with you. This performance contains adult themes.

HOW TO GET THERE

The East Sydney Hotel is located on the corner of Crown and Cathedral Streets, Woolloomooloo (entrance to the pub is on Crown St). Saint James train station is a 15-minute walk or the 311 bus stop is adjacent to the pub. Limited on-street metered parking is available around the venue.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE EVENT
  • Petite Suite is an intimate, promenade-style event which will run for a total of 60 minutes per session.
  • The performances take place in the hotel rooms above the pub which are only accessible via 2 flights of stairs.
  • 7 performances are presented inside each hotel room every ten minutes for a maximum of 5 people per room.
  • The hotel rooms are small spaces for live performance. Audience will be required to stand for the duration of each performance.
  • Audience will need to move through the intimate corridors to witness performances in different rooms of the hotel.
  • To mitigate social distancing all audience will be issued with mandatory face-masks to wear during the performances.
PETITE SUITE IS COVID-SAFE

We consider the health and safety of our audiences, artists and staff our highest priority. In response to COVID-19, we ask you to: 

  • Stay home if you feel unwell (no cancellation fees apply).
  • Maintain physical distancing of 1.5ms from others.
  • Sanitise your hands and register your attendance on entry.
  • When requested, show staff proof of vaccination via digital certificate or immunisation history statement.
  • Wear a mask while indoors unless you are eating or drinking.
  • When shown your allocated seat, stay in your allocated seat.
  • At the end of the show, leave the venue when instructed by staff.

What we are doing to ensure you are COVIDSafe at Petite Suite:

  • Capping our total audience at 35 per session while restricting access to 5 people per hotel room.
  • Ensuring that artists and staff are double vaccinated and well before they start work.
  • Sanitising all furniture and touch-points prior to each opening.
  • Providing all audience members with complimentary face-masks to wear while inside the venue.
  • Ensuring the venue is well ventilated where possible.

EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS

Brand X is happy to exchange your purchased tickets for another night within the same shows season (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday). We are also happy to refund your tickets if you are no longer able to attend (minus transaction fees of 1.75% + 30c) if you feel unwell and need to stay home due to COVID-19. Please contact us via the email on your receipt to arrange a refund prior to the commencement of the show.
