"The Nightline" is a creative audio project about the city at night inspired by the voices of those still awake. If you’re one of those people, Urban Theatre Projects invites you to share what’s on your mind by leaving an anonymous after-midnight voice message on The Nightline. Over the next ten months a dedicated Nightline message bank will be collecting anonymous voice messages between the hours of midnight and 6am. At the end of this process co-creators Roslyn Oades & Bob Scott will weave these late-night voice recordings into an evocative audio installation experience to be presented in a surprise underground venue in the heart of the city.

The Nightline is part of Sydney's Art & About program in Winter 2020, an on-going program of temporary art projects in unusual spaces produced by the City of Sydney.

Urban Theatre Projects (UTP) makes work that has social impact. As Western Sydney’s premier independent arts organisation, UTP has created over 115 new Australian works that have received awards and recognition internationally and nationally. UTP tells personal, real-life stories that present a complex portrait of contemporary Australia and bring these stories into the everyday by creating site-specific, distinctive, cultural experiences for their audiences.
