Skill-Up while in Lockdown

Presented by practicing artists from our local community Artist-2-Artist Professional Development Program sessions are now available on-line. It’s peer-to-peer training for and by independent artists and offers joyful experiences in making and creating so we are all encouraged to keep “doing".
SHORT TERM EMPTY PROPERTIES PROGRAM

The program supports creative practitioners, cultural organisation; community organisations and social enterprises; businesses and startups that support local economy; and organisation with a focus on sustainability and the environment.

The Flying Nun is a contemporary performing arts program at the East Sydney Community and Arts Centre in Darlinghurst that supports artists making new work and taking risks.

Flying Nun favourites are back with their irreverent and hilarious brand of experimentation in a shiny new show filled with props and effects to smash the uncanny and the mundane. Promising some sick visuals for guaranteed LOL results. Not to be missed.

The City of Sydney and Brand X match properties available on a temporary basis with short term creative projects including creative working studios, exhibition space, creative retail and temporary office space for project work.

Join Aunty Jude on a journey from heartbreak to doing ‘whatever the hell she wants’ as she smashes down other people's expectations in an outrageous midlife debutante ball. A mix of clown, cabaret and the grotesque.

TWT Visual Arts Studio – St Leonards

Brand X offers affordable, semi-permanent tenancy to visual artists, designers and craft practitioners in open-plan shared spaces and private enclosed studios.
ESCAC Rehearsal Space - Darlinghurst

Rehearsal space for hire in Darlinghurst, Sydney for Performing Artists, Dance, Theatre practitioners preparing for production, training or building their creative practice as well as being a venue suitable for performances, events, classes and workshops.
Creative Live Work Spaces

As Creative Tenancy Manager, Brand X are now seeking applications from artists and creatives to live and work in these properties for an 18-month period from early April 2021. Rent is set at $200 per week excluding outgoings/utilities. Applicants are required to demonstrate a relevant creative practice to pursue throughout their tenancy and identify why they would benefit from this unique opportunity. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and creatives are encouraged to apply.
Creative Retail Residencies

Brand X invite Visual Artists, Makers and Designers to apply for seed-funding to assist in the manufacturing of a bespoke, fine-grain product to be sold through our online gift shop. By commissioning artists to make new products, our intention is to test new ideas to ascertain market appeal and determine its potential.
