Now that your booking at the City of Sydney Creative Studios is confirmed, please familiarise yourself with the following information to prepare yourself (and your team) for use of our the facility. We look forward to hosting you at Brand X.

The City of Sydney Creative Studios (CoSCS) is located at 119 Bathurst St (on the corner of Bathurst and Pitt Streets in the CBD). Click here for a map.

Please factor in set up & pack down time into your booked hours so that you can vacate the space on time to not impact incoming users.
Access into CoSCS is via OK Cool Café on the ground floor. The front door is open during Café opening hours, from 7am-11am Mon & Fri & 7am-3pm Tues - Thurs. Outside of these times you will need to use the intercom to the left of the front door to call a member of staff or use your pre-programmed fob which you swipe on the reader to gain entry.
A member of staff will be in touch to arrange a time for you to pick up your fob prior to your first booking. The fob can be collected from the L2 facilities office, by walking up the stairs from ground floor. The person who made the booking must be present to collect the fob and you may need to show ID to collect & sign for your fob. Keep your fob on you at all times when onsite using the lanyard supplied, to avoid getting locked out of your space.
Your fob is pre-programmed to grant you front door access 15 minutes prior to your booking start time so you, your team and your guests can meet in our common (cafe or kitchen) areas. However, access to your booked space is restricted to your actual booking start time.
If you require vehicle access for load in/out this can also be arranged in advance with at least 24hrs notice and is subject the availability of our loading docks. Otherwise, there is no parking available at CoSCS.
CoSCS closes at midnight and all users must have vacated the building by this time. Staff are usually onsite from 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week.

If you need to modify your existing booking, log in using your Artist Pass, go to "My Bookings" and click "Edit". If you need to cancel your booking please be aware of our Cancelation Policy.
Emergencies and Incidents
A First Aid Kit can be found in the long cupboards in every kitchen, on all floors. Please report any accidents to a member of staff. If you use any consumables, please record this via the QR instruction sheet located inside the cupboard. Ice packs are located inside the freezer of the fridge in each kitchen too. Please return after use.
CoSCS has 2 sets of fire stairs on all floors to be used in the event of an emergency. East and West which exit onto Bathurst St & Pitt St respectively.
Ensure you familiarise yourself (and your team) with the Evacuation Diagram (located by each lift on each floor) which details the location of the emergency exits, fire stairs and fire equipment.
There is a 2-stage alarm system in the building. The beeping tone indicates an issue in the building but does not require evacuation. A whooping sound indicates evacuation at which point you must exit the building using the fire stairs and assemble by the Obelisk at the end of Bathurst St. in Hyde Park. Both alerts come with a spoken word instruction in English.
Please report any accidents & incidents to a member of Brand X staff.
House Rules
Please no vaping, smoking or alcohol consumption onsite. Please refrain from eating or drinking in the studios, use the kitchen on each floor instead.
Please clean up after yourself if using the shared facilities and kitchens. Cleaning products are available for use in the kitchen cupboards. Please record your use by using the QR codes located inside the cupboard.
Please report any broken or damaged equipment to Brand X staff.
All equipment requests need to be made in advance and are subject to availability. To request equipment or to discuss your equipment needs please contact: bookings[at]brandx.org.au
Return the space and any borrowed equipment to its original condition when you leave. This means leaving the space in a clean and tidy condition and leaving all borrowed equipment in your space.
Our technicians check in-house equipment is working properly but do not operate equipment on your behalf.
